In Memory of those who rode before us.
A graying man of faded youth
face leathered by the sun
sits astride his ancient iron
and dreams of one last run
Having seen so many things
that most men never see
doing things that most men do
only in their fantasy
A man without a family
yet Brothers everywhere
who makes his bed on God's green earth
and sleeps without a care
A soldier of the highway
a prisoner of the road
a man whose lived more stories
than most men have ever told
Who knows his run is over
and he will ride no more
he slips his trike back into gear
and rides for Heaven's door

BTW State Director DON "BUCKWHEAT" BRIDGES Oct. 26, 1953-Nov. 27, 2008
There are not enough words to express what we are all feeling. This strong but "gentle" man will be greatly missed by all. His unselfish, endless work to make Ohio BTW the best it could be has been greatly appreciated by all. Ohio can be proud. Once you met "Buckwheat" you were no longer a stranger, but one of his extended family. Our hearts and prayers are with his wonderful Rose and family. Buckwheat had wanted a Memorial page set up for our members who have left before us. This is being added to fulfill his wishes.
