OHIO BTW 2008 CHRISTMAS PARTY AND TRIBUTE TO DIRECTOR DON "BUCKWHEAT" BRIDGES
Buckwheat would have said, he wanted to thank everyone who helped make this the best Christmas Party: that NWO out did themselves with the food; no one will go away hungry. He would have thanked Ruth and NCO for the great table decorations. He would have had some of the children up to help him pull numbers, and found a couple of the members to put on the spot, about running out of gas - or getting lost. He would have told Ohio BTW we have had and how we need to pull together and make next year even better. He would have thanked Rose for putting up with him, and his kids for all they mean to him. He would have put his arm around Steve's shoulder and thanked him for being there for Rose when she was up in front of everyone.......cause he couldn't be-----That was Don, "Buckwheat"..and our "Fearless Leader".

A few pictures that Chris from So.W. River Riders from the party, who said even though it was just not the same, everyone had a good time and found comfort being with the BTW family. Thank you Chris.

Joyce, also from River Riders sent these. She said "We all just tried to have a good time (which was hard) because like his daughter said "we want to do what we know my dad would want us to do."

We go to the Nursing Home the day of our party, passing out stuffed animals and candy. One of our members had school kids make cards and wreaths. The folks had practiced some songs and they sang to us. We went to their rooms, gave them gifts and listened to their stories. A lot of them wanted to hear all about the trikes, especially the men. Karen brought her little puppy: they loved her kisses and we heard a lot of pet stories. We were deeply touched.

It was a cold snowy night when the party started..didin't stop some!

Some of the members of the NCO Chapter at the party...thank you Kevin for the phots, and Ruth for sending them.
